Christopher Kierkus, associate professor of criminal justice; Jonathan White, professor of interdisciplinary studies and executive director of the Homeland Defense Initiative; and William Crawley, associate dean of the College of Community and Public Service and associate professor of criminal justice, were interviewed by the Grand Rapids Press, WOOD-TV and WZZM-TV for stories about the gunman who killed seven people in Grand Rapids.

Hugh Jack, professor of engineering, received the Best Presentation Award at the American Society for Engineering Education Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, for “The 2011 State of Manufacturing Education.” He also co-wrote a presentation, “What is Curricula 2015?”

Nursing Corps: Simulation for the Integration of Psychiatric-Mental
Health Clinical Learning Experiences.”
