Grand Valley State University has been ranked second as an
“up-and-coming” institution in the Midwest in the U.S. News &
World Report 2012 edition of Best Colleges.
For its
prestigious annual publication, U.S. News & World Report
asked the experts who respond to its annual peer assessment survey to
identify schools that fit the profile of up-and-coming institutions.
College administrators surveyed for the rankings were asked to
nominate institutions they believe have recently made the most
promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty,
student life, campus or facilities. Grand Valley has made the
up-and-coming list each year since 2008.
Also, Grand
Valley has been ranked 37th among Midwest Universities and 8th among
Midwest Public Universities.
