Luisa Schumacher, executive director of the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology, is the next speaker for the Wheelhouse Talks sponsored by the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies at Grand Valley State University.
The monthly talks feature regional and state leaders who will share their philosophy and experience. Schumacher’s talk is scheduled for November 9 at the Kroc Community Center in Grand Rapids.
Schumacher serves on the Wealthy Theater Centennial Cabinet, Varnum Diversity Inclusion Council, Laugh Fest Cabinet and the Grand Rapids Boxing Foundation. Her previous work experience includes serving as manager of Corporate and Community Relations for Metro Health and marketing and communications director for Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids.
Schumacher received the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce Athena Young Professional Award in 2009, and was named a Regional Thought Leader by MiBiz in 2008.
