Loth named interim vice president for University Development

President Thomas J. Haas named Karen Loth interim vice president for University Development.

The appointment becomes effective when current vice president Maribeth Wardrop retires at the end of the year. Loth is currently an assistant vice president for Development and joined Grand Valley in 2000.

Haas said the move will ensure stability until a permanent replacement for Wardrop is found. “I appreciate all of Maribeth’s hard work on behalf of the university,” Haas said. “And I have full faith and confidence in Karen’s leadership abilities during this time of transition as we search for a new vice president.”

Gayle R. Davis, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, is chairing the search committee, which is currently reviewing applicants for the position.
