High school students who are taking health sciences classes at the
Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences spoke to WOOD-TV personality
Maranda about their experiences.
Students in the Health Sciences Early College Academy were
interviewed by Maranda on March 10. The video segment will be included
as a link in a future Newspapers in Education insert in the Grand
Rapids Press.
The Health Sciences Early College Academy is a program by the
Kent Intermediate School District in partnership with Grand Valley's
College of Health Professions. The academy is open to juniors and
seniors who have at least a 3.0 GPA and are interested in continuing
to study health sciences in college.
Students earn up to 12 college credits through Grand Valley and
high school credit. College credits are provided free of charge to
