Noreen K. Myers was elected chair of the Grand Valley State University Board of Trustees at the board’s July 15 meeting; Kate Pew Wolters served as chair for the past two years.
Myers, an attorney from Lowell who graduated from Grand Valley in
1972, is the first alumnus to be named chair. She was appointed to the
Board of Trustees in 2005 and also serves on the Academic and Student
Affairs Committee. Shelley E. Padnos was elected vice chair of the board.
Also during the board meeting, Lucille S. Taylor was recognized
for her long service on the board. Taylor served as a trustee from
2003-2011 and as chair from 2007-2009.
