Film and panel discussion about Fred Martinez, who was murdered at age
16 for wanting to live as a woman.
• Dancing in Moccasins,
November 2, noon, Kirkhof Center, room 2204: Documentary film
screening.
• Traditional Lakota Values vs. Contemporary Life,
November 9, 1 p.m., Kirkhof Center, room 2204: Speaker Aaron Desersa
will discuss the clashes between modern life and traditional Lakota
ways.
• American Indian History and Culture, November 9, 4 p.m.,
Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room: Speaker Dennis Zotigh will talk
about the history of Native Americans and new opportunities for Indian
youth.
• Massacre at Wounded Knee Creek, November 17, 4 p.m.,
Eberhard Center, room 215: Lani Van Eck will lead participants through
a multimedia program that describes the historic event.
