Physical therapy students will showcase their research skills
during the fifth annual DPT Research Day, set for Thursday, July 14.
Three sessions of presentations will run from 8:30 a.m.-2:30
p.m. in Loosemore Auditorium, DeVos Center. Poster presentations will
be highlighted from 10:15-11:15 a.m.
The doctoral candidates conducted their research with a faculty
mentor. Topics are wide-ranging and include rehabilitation, athlete
nutrition behaviors and a case study in caloric expenditures for
school-age children.
Graduation for this physical therapy doctoral class is set for
August 10. John Peck, professor and chair of physical therapy, said
students work on their research projects for more than a year, meeting
with their faculty mentors weekly.
