President Thomas J. Haas accompanied 22 students aboard the D.J. Angus research vessel in Grand Haven on September 23. The group of fifth grade students from Dutton Christian Schools collected and analyzed data from Lake Michigan. The D.J. Angus, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is a research and education vessel docked in Grand Haven and operated by the Annis Water Resources Institute. Nearly 132,000 students and others have experienced the Great Lakes and adjoining waters through this unique hands-on science program.
