Regional engineering conference draws students from across country

Students from Michigan, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virgina and Ontario will attend a professional mechanical engineering conference and competition at Grand Valley from March 25-27. The competitions are free and open to the public.

This is the second time Grand Valley is hosting the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) 2011 Student Professional Development Conference. The conference will feature competitions in oral presentation, student design, technical poster, web design and impromptu design. The outcomes will determine what teams will advance to the international competition in Denver, Colorado, in November. ASME has more than 120,000 members in 150 countries.

Competitions:
Saturday, March 26, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Grand Valley, Pew Grand Rapids Campus, Kennedy Hall of Engineering
