Students, faculty and staff members can register to participate in
the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, set for January 21 at work
sites in Grand Rapids and Allendale.
Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. on January 21 in the Kirkhof
Center for a brief orientation before taking arranged transportation
to work sites. Day of Service activities are coordinated by the
Community Service Learning Center with support from Grand Valley's MLK
Executive Planning Committee.

to register. Participants will receive lunch, transportation and a
T-shirt; they will be transported back to the Kirkhof Center around 3 p.m.
The volunteer day will honor King and Gloria Richardson, a civil
