To The Campus Community:
The unseasonably warm temperatures last week caused a
significant strain on everyone, creating a difficult learning and work
environment in the Allendale Campus buildings. Due to our new library
construction, a number of major projects were scheduled and on track
to be completed by April 1, as we typically begin cooling on campus
around April 10. The high temperatures caused us to postpone a project
and Facilities expedited work completion and the cooling process. We
successfully completed this challenge by Friday, March 23. Facilities
staff accomplished a very difficult goal in a short amount of time.
To our students, faculty and staff, we appreciate your patience,
understanding and cooperation as we managed the unexpected conditions
in our offices and classrooms.
Sincerely,
Tim Thimmesch
Assistant Vice President of Facilities
Services
