Acclaimed designer and executive next speaker at Wheelhouse Talks

Yang Kim, an executive at local firm Peopledesign and celebrated graphic designer, will be the next speaker at the 2012-13 Wheelhouse Talks, a leadership- and experience-based lecture series hosted by Grand Valley State University’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies.

Kim will speak to Hauenstein Center Cook Leadership Academy fellows and the general public about her life experience and philosophy on leadership.

Kim is the creative director at Peopledesign in Grand Rapids, and works with a high-profile list of clients including Amway, Herman Miller and Steelcase. She has done work with the Grand Rapids Art Museum, UICA, and ArtPrize, and is the co-author of “Brand Identity Essentials,” a book about brand and graphic identity.

Educated at Carnegie Mellon University and the Harvard Business School, Kim is also a contributor to RockPaperInk, Rebrand, Core77, and DesignEnvy.
