'Arabian Nights' celebrates Arab culture

Two student organizations and the Padnos International Center have teamed to host two nights of events that will celebrate the traditions and cultures of the Arab World.

“Arabian Nights” is set for Thursday and Friday, November 8-9. Events, which are free and open to the public, include an academic presentation on the Arab Spring, dinner, student panel and games. Details are below:

November 8: “The Arab Spring: A Different Story for Each Country,” presentation by Sofiene Malouli, from the University of Sfax in Tunisia.

Malouli’s lecture will begin at 6 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, rooms 2215/2216. A free dinner will be served.

November 9: Exhibition of Arab nations, trivia games and student panel.

This event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, rooms 2215/2216.
