Farmers Market kicks off 2012 season

The Grand Valley Farmers Market kicked off the 2012 season on June 6.

The opening started with the annual Market Walk, which celebrates the opening day. President Haas stopped by and visited with students, staff, and vendors.

A wide variety of products were on sale, including fruits, vegetables, breads, meats, popcorn, flowers, jams, jerky, and even treats for the family dog. Massages and blood pressure screenings were also available.

The Grand Valley Farmers Market runs every Wednesday through September from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., except for July 4 and August 29.
