Grand Valley will host its first home women's lacrosse game Friday, March 16. The game against Lindenwood will begin at 4 p.m. at the lacrosse field in the new recreation field complex.

Head coach Alicia Groveston said the Lakers are excited to play in front of the fans who have supported them during the last two years as they built a team. “It is a really amazing opportunity to have the support we have had, and it will be wonderful to give back to those who have stood by us,” she said.

The team went 1-3 on its spring break trip to the Carolinas.

“Playing against four evenly matched teams gave us a chance to see not only which positions we need to develop more fully, but also where we excel as a team,” Groveston said.

The first 500 fans at the game will receive a free GVSU lacrosse T-shirt. Students, faculty and staff members are admitted for free; visit www.gvsutickets.com to secure free tickets.
