Grand Valley hosts fifth annual Intern Olympics

Interns from Grand Valley and other colleges throughout the country competed at the fifth annual West Michigan Summer Internship Olympics on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus June 28.

More than 340 summer interns from Perrigo, Gordon Food Service, Wolverine Worldwide, General Electric, Spectrum Health, Amway, Meijer, Bissell and Steelcase competed in teams to complete a scavenger hunt throughout downtown Grand Rapids. It was a way to showcase Grand Rapids and provide the opportunity to network with other interns.

After the scavenger hunt, teams reconvened with their company teams to compete in one-on-one games in the DeVos Center courtyard.

Meijer was the winning team with the most overall points and took home the trophy.
