Grand Valley license plate gets new look
The newest accessory for a Laker’s vehicle is going to be a big G-V. Beginning August 1, you can sport the newly designed Grand Valley State University license plate.
The new plates will cost $35 each, and $25 of that goes directly to the university. The reason for the change on the license plate is that the “G-V” logo, used by Grand Valley’s athletic teams, is bolder and easily identified.
It’s important to note that the blue “Circle-G,” shown on current license plates, is still the institutional logo and that this change is being made to the license plate design only. The cost to Grand Valley to change the design on the plates is $2,000.
If you are interested in ordering the new plate, visit any Michigan Secretary of State branch office or go online to www.michigan.gov/sos and search for “Grand Valley State University.”
