Grand Valley ranks high in academic, athletic study

Grand Valley State University placed 22nd in a national ranking of academics and athletics among Division II colleges that was compiled by NCSA (National Collegiate Scouting Association), a major athletic recruiting organization.

The ranking is based upon the academic and athletic standards of all NCAA athletic programs across the nation. The rankings are intended to help prospective student athletes and their families evaluate the strengths of top colleges and universities in each NCAA division.

Rankings for schools are based upon averages of several factors, including student athlete graduation rates, academic rankings from U.S. News and World Report, and the strength of athletic departments as determined by the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup.

The list, including rankings by division as well as overall, is available at www.ncsasports.org/who-is-ncsa/power-rankings.
