Nominations for the fifth annual Sustainability Champion Awards is
open until Friday, October 12.
Students, faculty and staff members can nominate members of the
campus community who, by practice and belief, support the ideals of
sustainable practices. Nominations can be submitted by filling out an
online
form.
Sustainability Champions will be recognized at a breakfast
ceremony on Friday, October 19, from 7:30-8:45 a.m. in the Kirkhof
Center; RSVP is required
here.
Brooks College of Interdisciplinary Studies Dean Anne Hiskes,
President Thomas J. Haas and City of Grand Rapids Manager Greg
Sundstrom will speak about the importance of continuing sustainable
practices at Grand Valley and in West Michigan.
