For the 14th consecutive year, Grand Valley earned the Presidents' Trophy from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The trophy is awarded to a GLIAC member institution for demonstrating general excellence in all sports. Grand Valley has earned the trophy 19 times, a league record.

Grand Valley won five conference men’s sports (cross country, golf, indoor track and field, baseball, and outdoor track and field) in 2011-2012, and six women’s titles (cross country, soccer, indoor track and field, softball, golf, and outdoor track and field).
