Grand Valley State University’s Van Andel Global Trade Center will
host the 13th Automotive Suppliers Symposium on March 8, with support
from title sponsor Plante & Moran, along with JP Morgan Chase;
Warner, Norcross & Judd; MiBiz and WGVU Public Media.
The year’s symposium will focus on “Calibrating for Success.” Experts
and senior executives from top automotive suppliers will share their
views on the latest industry trends, regulatory changes and their
outlook for the global market.

Keynote speaker Jeffrey L. Moyer, vice
president of business development and engineering at Meridian
Lightweight Technologies, will talk about “Beyond the Recovery:
Opportunities & Challenges.” Meridian was awarded Automotive News
PACE Awards for product innovation in 2010, and has offices and
production facilities on three continents.
James Glassman,
managing director and senior economist at JP Morgan Chase, and Mike
Wall, director of automotive analysis for IHS Automotive, will provide
detailed insight into the global automotive outlook.
A
panel discussion will focus on how regulatory changes on CAFE and CO2
standards will continue to impact the industry, and how companies can
best position themselves to respond to developments in increasing fuel
efficiency and weight/mass reduction.
