Padnos International Center staff members held a Study Abroad Fair
January 18 in the Henry Hall atrium, offering details on the different
programs available to Grand Valley students.
The fair featured tables and information on more than 50
programs. Faculty-led sessions for the spring, summer, and fall
semesters were highlighted.
“Fairs are a great outreach event for us to get out of the
office and into students’ territory,” said Meaghann Myers-Smith, study
abroad advisor. “We can interact with students who may never have
considered studying abroad before.”
Myers-Smith explained that these events are valuable for those
students learning about these programs for the first time.
“Our goal is making sure students have the least amount of
barriers in front of them as possible,” she said. “We want them to
know our programs are accessible and all-inclusive.”
Nearly 800 students participated in a study abroad program last
year. For more information visit www.gvsu.edu/pic.
