Prospective and practicing entrepreneurs can learn from one of West Michigan’s experts when Mike Jandernoa presents "Passion for Entrepreneurship" as part of the Frederik Meijer Lecture Series at Grand Valley.

He is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, October 16, at 7 p.m. in the DeVos Center, Loosemore Auditorium. The presentation is free and open to the public. RSVP online at www.gvsu.edu/honor, click on the Lecture Series icon.

Jandernoa, former CEO and chairman of Perrigo Company, has a long career of mentoring and supporting entrepreneurs in the West Michigan community. He is a founder and director of Grand Angels, Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring, and co-founder of Bridge Street Capital.

Jeff Chamberlain, director of the Frederik Meijer Honors College, called Jandernoa an extraordinary communicator and mentor. “He will help the audience understand the exciting world of entrepreneurship and the opportunities that abound, as well as how a strong liberal education background enhances our abilities to make connections, think creatively and innovate,” Chamberlain said.

Jandernoa is an active board member for several organizations, including Business Leaders for Michigan, the Van Andel Institute, Hopen Life Science fund, Metabolic Solutions Development Company, and the Grand Valley University Foundation.

The Meijer Lecture Series was established to provide local and national presentations that focus on issues of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship from the perspective of students, faculty and staff members, and business leaders throughout the region.
