Kirkhof College of Nursing's Doctor of Nursing Practice degree
program has received accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate
Nursing Education that will extend through 2017.
The accreditation process included a written self-study and a
three-day site visit by a CCNE evaluation team. Dean Cynthia McCurren
noted that accreditation is an important achievement because students,
employers and consumers are assured that KCON graduates are educated
under nationally established standards that have been validated
through a rigorous process.
“This is a wonderful accomplishment and my sincere appreciation
goes to the faculty who have implemented this impressive degree
program and the students who have enriched its endeavors,” McCurren
said.
