A memorial service for a Grand Valley student who died after he was
hit by a car will be held on Saturday, November 17.
Kyle Ackerman, a senior majoring in film and video production
with an emphasis in animation, died November 10 in Holland.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the
Brooklyn Presbyterian Church, 160 N. Main St., in Brooklyn, Mich.
Toni Perrine, associate professor of communications, expressed
her thoughts on behalf of the School of Communications. "Kyle was
a good student with an open mind and positive attitude," she
said. "He was a talented animator and a productive member of our
program. We are all shocked and saddened by this loss."
