Nominations sought for Celebrating Women Awards

The campus groups and departments that sponsor the Celebrating Women Awards are seeking nominations of outstanding students, faculty and staff members to recognize at the March 13 event.

Nominations are sought for awards presented by Women and Gender Studies, Women’s Center and Women’s Commission. Positive Black Women also presents scholarships at the event.

Award criteria is online at www.gvsu.edu/w_commission. A new award, the Unsung Hero Award, is sponsored by the Women’s Commission and will be presented to someone who has improved the campus community but is not known for those contributions. The deadline for nominations is February 15.
