Noted entrepreneur Holsinger-Robinson to kick off Wheelhouse Talks

Bill Holsinger-Robinson, a noted Grand Rapids business founder and executive, and The Frederik Meijer Endowed Honors Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Grand Valley State University, will kick off the 2012-13 Wheelhouse Talks.

The Wheelhouse Talks are a series of speakers who will address issues of leadership for the Cook Leadership Academy at Grand Valley’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies.

Holsinger-Robinson’s presentation will address his experiences as a design-thinking entrepreneur and his process that helps bring those ideas to life, along with his involvement in programs like the SEED Collective, 5x5 Night, ArtPrize, and as a host of TEDxGrand Rapids.

“We are excited to launch this year’s Wheelhouse Talks with Bill Holsinger-Robinson,” said Gleaves Whitney, director of the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies. “He represents the kind of leader we like to put in front of Grand Valley students – one who is innovative, entrepreneurial, and accessible.”

Holsinger-Robinson is the first speaker in the series, and will be followed throughout the fall and winter by five other inspiring guests, starting with Yang Kim, an executive at Peopledesign; Frederick Antczak, the dean of Grand Valley’s College of Liberal Arts and Studies; Kerri Reinbold, owner and founder of Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse; Troy Evans, transformational pastor and founder of The Edge Urban Fellowship; and Leann Arkema, CEO of Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.
