Rowing Club to host viewing event for Zelenka's Olympic finals

The Grand Valley Rowing Club will host a viewing event to watch
alumna and Olympic rower Sarah Zelenka and her teammate Sara
Hendershot compete in the Grand Final August 1.
The viewing event will take place at the Grand Valley Rowing
Training Center, located across the street from the Allendale Campus,
at 4281 Lake Michigan Dr. at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1. The race
will start at 6:50 a.m. EST (11:50 a.m. in London).
Several supporters, including head rowing coach John Bancheri, plan
to rise early to watch the competition. Grand Valley students,
faculty, staff members, alumni and rowing supporters are invited.
Zelenka and Hendershot advanced to the Olympic finals for
women’s pair rowing after they finished second in their heat on
Saturday, July 28.
