Following a successful debut event in December, the International
Student Club will host a second event Sunday, January 15, at The Connection.
Sunday's dinner will feature food from the People's Republic of
the Congo. It will be prepared by Campus Dining chef Aaron Johnson
under the watchful eye of two students from that country: brother and
sister Francis and Alexia Mangala.
On the menu will be rice and chicken with peanut butter sauce
and plantains, among other items. There is a charge for dinner for
those who do not use a meal plan. The event will run from 5-8 p.m. and
include dancing from the African Student Council.
The Mangala siblings are the nephew and niece of Jacques
Mangala, director of the African and African American Studies Program
and associate professor of political science.
