Director, screenwriter and producer Peter Bratt will give a
presentation for the Professionals of Color Lecture Series on
Wednesday, October 2.
“A Conversation with Peter Bratt,” will take place from 6:30-8
p.m. in the Grand River Room of the Kirkhof Center. The event is
approved for LIB 100 and 201 classes.
Bratt’s first film, “Follow Me Home,” premiered at the Sundance
Film Festival in 1996 and focuses on social issues faced by five urban
individuals. In his second film, “La Mission,” Bratt tells a story
about conquering societal ills and explores the intersection of race
and sexual orientation.
Bratt co-founded 5 Stick Films, Inc. alongside his brother, actor
Benjamin Bratt, and "La Mission" was the first film created
by the company. The film will be shown September 23-27 at 11 a.m., 2
p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center theater.
The presentation is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural
Affairs and WGVU Public Media and is in conjunction with Hispanic
Heritage Month.
