The annual fall Teaching and Learning Conference will center on
engaging students in new spaces, fostering creative collaborations and
guiding learning beyond the traditional classroom.
The conference, “Changing Paradigms: Engaging Students in New
Learning Spaces and Contemporary Contexts,” is set for August 21 from
8:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. in the Eberhard Center. It is sponsored by the Pew
Faculty Teaching and Learning Center. Register by August 16 by

Lee Van Orsdel, dean of University Libraries, will be the
morning keynote speaker. Van Orsdel will highlight innovations of the
Mary Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons and discuss
the new era of academic libraries.
David W. Lewis, dean of the Indiana University-Purdue University
Indianapolis Library, will give the afternoon keynote address on how
openness and social productivity will influence teaching and learning.
Concurrent sessions will run in the morning and afternoon. View
