Business ethicist to present at next Wheelhouse Talk

Business ethicist and Grand Valley State University philosophy professor Michael DeWilde will be the next speaker at the Wheelhouse Talks hosted by Grand Valley’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies.

DeWilde, an associate professor of philosophy and the director of the Business Ethics Center at Grand Valley State University’s Seidman College of Business, will speak about his leadership experiences and personal philosophies toward leadership and education. DeWilde currently teaches multiple courses that focus on ethics and philosophy. He also directs the Community Working Classics Program, which was recently awarded the 2002 APA/PDC Prize for Excellence and Innovation in Philosophy Programs.
He has presented on the topic of sustainability at TEDx, and serves as a consultant to students, young professionals and businesses. DeWilde earned a master’s degree in theological studies from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from William James College. DeWilde’s interests include service learning, ethics, and Tibetan Buddhism.
