Deadline for MLK award nominations extended

Participants join a poverty simulation held during the 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration. The deadline has been extended to nominate someone for an internal or external service award, which will be presented during the 2014 commemoration week.

The deadline has been extended to nominate someone for a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. service award presented by Grand Valley.

Two awards will be presented during the university’s King commemoration week, January 20-25. One award will be given to a GVSU faculty or staff member, another to a community member.

Criteria for both awards are listed online at www.gvsu.edu/mlk, click on “MLK Awards.” The deadline to nominate someone is December 1.
