Events planned for Month of the Young Child

The Children’s Enrichment Center will host a variety of events throughout April to celebrate the Month of Young Child. The celebration aims to raise awareness about relevant issues impacting young children and families.

The event is cosponsored by the Student Parent Club and is open to the campus community; the deadline to register is April 2 on the CEC website.

A clothing drive to benefit the YWCA in Grand Rapids will take place from April 8-12. Donations can be dropped off at the Children’s Enrichment Center.

The annual children’s art show and reception will take place on Thursday, April 18, from noon-1 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, room 2263.

The Children’s Enrichment Center is celebrating its 40th anniversary during the 2012-2013 academic year. Formally called the Children’s Center, the center provides early care and education for children of student parents, faculty and staff members, and community members.
