Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, the Provost Office and the Office of Student Life honored faculty-student interaction and high-impact practices at the Faculty Appreciation Breakfast January 31.

Barbara Roos, associate professor of film and video production, received the Omicron Delta Kappa Faculty of Distinction Award.

DeLain Bomer II, circle president of Omicron Delta Kappa, said Roos received the award because of her years of commitment to Grand Valley. “Professor Roos always has her students in mind and helps them reach their full potential by combining their interests with professional aspirations,” he said.

Faculty, advisors and students of honor societies, professional fraternities and professional organizations attended the breakfast. This was the second year the event has been held to honor distinguished faculty.

The event was part of Campus Leadership Week, which continues through February 1. View a schedule of events at www.gvsu.edu/leadership.
