Freshman Academy students name top faculty

Two faculty members were named Outstanding Professors of the Year by Freshman Academy students.

Students honored Gordon Alderink, Meijer Honors College professor, and Rik Stevenson, professor of African/African American studies, at the annual Freshman Academy celebration.

Housed in the Student Academic Success Center, the Oliver Wilson Freshman Academy is a support program that offers comprehensive and collaborative services to students who have demonstrated a strong potential for collegiate success and who are from an underrepresented high school and/or the first in their families to attend college.
