Grand Valley State University will host the annual Michigan Green
Chemistry and Engineering Conference, organized in part by the
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
Attendees will learn how green chemistry and engineering helps
businesses and protects human health and the environment. Anyone
interested in Michigan’s sustainable growth is invited, including
educators, students, entrepreneurs, policy makers, engineers and
chemists.

student fee is $25.

Grand Valley President Thomas J. Haas will introduce the keynote
speaker, Terry Collins, professor of green chemistry at Carnegie
Mellon University. DEQ Director Dan Wyant will present awards at the
Governor’s Award Ceremony and Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell will
welcome attendees to the event.
