Hauenstein Center to host Evening with Three Presidents

The Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies at Grand Valley State University will team up with the Loutit District Library to host a program titled "An Evening with Three Presidents" on August 22 at Grand Haven High School as part of the 'American Conversations' series.
The event will feature three well-known presidential interpreters: Colonial Williamsburg’s Bill Barker as Thomas Jefferson, Chuck Chalberg as Theodore Roosevelt, and Paddy Morrissey as Ronald Reagan. The three interpreters will speak from the point of view of their respective presidents on issues of the day and the current state of the nation. The event will be moderated by Hauenstein Center director Gleaves Whitney.

Thursday’s event is the first event of the year for the Hauenstein Center’s ‘American Conversations’ series. All of this year’s American Conversations events will begin at 7 p.m. and will focus on the theme of ‘common ground’.
Previous ‘American Conversations’ events include academic debates such as “Why Progressive? Why Conservative? The Debate” and evenings with some of America’s most influential figures, including the “America’s First Ladies” event and “A History of Diplomacy with Madeleine Albright” among others.
