Intercultural groups continue for second year

The Inclusion and Equity Division will again host “Intercultural Communities of Practice” (ICoP) to encourage dialogue and build cultural understanding between people with different cultural backgrounds.

The popular discussion groups began last year. Jeanne Arnold, vice president of Inclusion and Equity, said the initiative’s goals are to increase engagement, foster equality and help participants develop a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives.

Facilitators from divisions and colleges across the university have been trained and are ready to engage thoughtful discussions on a wide variety of topics related to diversity, inclusion and intercultural competence.

Several ICoPs will meet monthly. To register, visit www.gvsu.edu/seminar, click on the Inclusion and Equity section. Questions can be directed to Sean Huddleston at (616) 331-3296 or [email protected].
