Leader of Gilda's Club, LaughFest, wraps up 2013 Wheelhouse Talks

President and CEO of Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and LaughFest founder Leann Arkema is the final speaker of the 2012-13 Wheelhouse Talks series presented by Grand Valley State University’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies.

Arkema has grown Gilda’s Club over the years, helping the organization serve more than 10,000 visitors a year. Arkema will discuss her leadership philosophy and details of what motivates her to make a difference in the lives of people living with cancer.  

“Leann’s work with Gilda’s Club and LaughFest and the causes they represent is inspiring,” said Gleaves Whitney, director of the Hauenstein Center. “We’re looking forward to hearing the lessons she can share with us.”
