License plates feature Pure Michigan design
More than 3,570 vehicles are sporting Laker pride via a specially
designed Michigan license plate.
Sporting a GV logo, used by Laker athletic teams, a new license
plate cost $35, with $25 going to the Alumni Heritage Scholarship.
Grand Valley license plates, now with the Pure Michigan logo, can be
renewed for an extra $10, all of that money goes to the scholarship fund.
For more than a dozen years the Secretary of State’s Office has
offered specialty license plates that help raise money for the state’s
15 public universities and a number of causes and nonprofit
organizations. Among Michigan’s 15 public universities, Grand Valley
ranks in the middle in number of specialty license plates.
