Michigan Natural Resources Council to hold meeting at Annis Water Resources Institute
Grand Valley State University’s Annis Water Resources Institute will host a portion of the Michigan Natural Resources Council’s regular monthly meeting on August 8.
Meeting sessions will begin at Muskegon State Park’s Winter Sports Complex Lodge before moving to AWRI for the afternoon sessions. Sessions scheduled to be held at AWRI include a meeting of the NRC policy committee on Wildlife and Fisheries, which will receive updates from the fisheries and wildlife divisions, discuss fisheries orders, and review updated waterfowl regulations.
The NRC will also hear public comment at the annual meeting, and will set waterfowl and other migratory bird hunting regulations, and discuss the placement of ground blinds for deer hunting season.
One of the seven commissioners of the council is Annoesjka Steinman, a Grand Valley alumna.
