National health care expert speaks about health care insurance reform

Grand Valley State University’s Johnson Center for Philanthropy is hosting a national health care expert to provide insight into what the implementation of the Affordable Care Act means for community-based health care providers and organized philanthropies. 

The invitation-only event, called “Health Care Insurance Reform 101,” will feature Dinah Dittman, a Grand Valley alumna and national director of community engagement and philanthropy for Kaiser Permanente. As a senior team member of the largest nonprofit health care provider in the country, Dittman drives the community and philanthropic vision for an organization that provides more than 9 million Americans with care at its 570 medical offices and hospitals across the United States. Dittman will provide a brief overview and then lead an interactive discussion about systems, possibilities, and challenges of philanthropy and society.
