Student Life Director to give 'Her Story'
The annual Her Story series will feature a presentation on November
21 by Michelle Burke, director of Student Life.
Burke’s talk will take place at noon in room 2215 of the Kirkhof
Center. The event is approved for LIB 100 and 201 classes.
Before Burke joined Grand Valley in 2003, she was director of
Student Leadership and Activities for Ferris State University. She
received a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Florida State
University and a master’s degree in Student Personnel Services from
the University of South Carolina. She currently serves as national
vice president of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society.
The Her Story series provides an opportunity for the campus
community to listen to authentic stories of women in leadership
positions at Grand Valley. It is co-sponsored by the Women’s Center
and Women’s Commission.
The next talk will take place January 23 and will feature Koleta
Moore, assistant director of Graduate Business Programs.
