Grand Valley, Grand Rapids Children's Museum and Aquinas College
will host a daylong symposium on why play is important not only to
children but to business and community leaders.
“Symposium on Play” will be held Friday, March 1, at the
Eberhard Center on Grand Valley’s Pew Grand Rapids Campus. Sessions
will run from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The keynote speaker is Darell Hammond, founder and CEO of
KaBoom, the nonprofit organization that works with communities to
create playgrounds.
Other sessions will be led by faculty members, criminal justice
leaders, physicians and business leaders.
Cost to attend is $25, $10 for students. Click
