The Internationalization Task Force has set two town hall meetings this week to discuss global learning in the Grand Valley curriculum.
Task force members began meeting last year to analyze international education and global learning. Co-chair Mark Schaub, chief international officer, said the task force plans to have recommendations for the university released in April. More information is online at www.gvsu.edu/internationalization.
Town halls are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Pere Marquette Room; and Friday, September 13, 3-4:30 p.m. in the DeVos Center, Loosemore Auditorium.
Co-chair Carol Sanchez, professor of management and director of international business programs for Seidman College of Business, said the website also lists results of the winter semester surveys sent to students, faculty and staff members.
Last year, Grand Valley joined the American College on Education’s
Internationalization Laboratory, a cohort of colleges and
universities. Being a member of the ACE lab will benefit Grand Valley
as each cohort member interacts with each other and with ACE
leadership to reconceive its vision for internationalization.
