Volunteers needed for 'Girls on the Run'

The Women’s Center at Grand Valley is seeking volunteers to donate time to a Girls on the Run 5k event on the Allendale Campus May 17.

Girls on the Run of Ottawa and Allegan Counties is an organization that educates and prepares girls in third through eighth grades to be healthy and confident through a curriculum that integrates running. More than 1,500 girls and their families are expected to attend the 5k event, which will celebrate the end of the 10-week spring program.

Volunteers are needed for the registration table, to help direct parking, and to be stationed throughout the 5k route.

Students, faculty and staff members who would like to volunteer during the event can fill out the online form at www.gotroac.org/volunteer/.

The 5k is open to the public. Registration is online at www.gotroac.org.
