The Women’s Center will host a sneak peek of this year’s production of “That Takes Ovaries!: Bold Women, Brazen Acts” on Tuesday, January 22.

Karen Libman, professor of theatre, will facilitate “Leading a Bold Life” from 6-8 p.m. in the Cook DeWitt Center. It will include discussion and readings from the play, which tells real-life stories of women and girls who have performed courageous actions. In an open mic format, attendees will have an opportunity to share their own stories about brave women in their lives.

Students, faculty, staff and community members can audition for the production January 25, 3-7 p.m., and January 27, 2-5 p.m., in room 1104 of the Kirkhof Center.

Performances will take place March 22 in the Kirkhof Center and March 23 at Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids. Half of the scenes portrayed in this year’s production are stories submitted by students, faculty, staff and community members.
