GVSU partners with community groups to fight hunger

Grand Valley is participating in Hunger Action Week 2014 by hosting a documentary and panel discussion featuring representatives from local anti-hunger agencies September 16.  

Grand Valley’s Women’s Center is partnering with local community groups to raise awareness during the week, which runs September 13-19. 

The fourth segment of “The Weight of the Nation” by HBO will be shown at 7 p.m. in room 136E of the DeVos Center.

The documentary provides a look at the basic facts of obesity and how food and weight play into almost every facet of American life. Watch the trailer at theweightofthenation.hbo.com.
